| Most countries in the Americas and Western Europe do not require visas to enter Peru. Bolivians, Ecuadorians, Brazilians and Chileans may enter determined regions of the country just by presenting their national identification documents. |

All outlets are 220 volts, 60 cycles AC (except in Arequipa, which operates on 50 cycles), with two-prong outlets that accept both flat and round prongs. Some large hotels also have 110-volt outlets. It is recommendable to carry an adaptor for flat plugs. |

| When you arrive to Peru, you will be entitled of entering articles in your baggage exonerated of the customs duty and other articles will be subject to the Customs Special Treatment. |

Most stores are open from 9 or 10am to 12:30pm, and from 3 to 5 or 8pm. Banks are generally open Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 4pm, although some stay open until 6pm. |

For national or domestic flights, the airport tax is US$ 5. For International departures the amount you have to pay is US$ 28. These taxes are payed after your check-in. You need to take your boarding card to the bank desk and pay the respective tax. |
